Membership in MCDA provides access to one of the most active groups in community development in Michigan. Our quarterly meetings and conferences provide forums for up to date training and educational seminars, a variety of topical presentations, and networking opportunities to share experiences, issues, and problems facing community development practitioners.
Through the MCDA Web site, all members are provided access to the vast expertise within the organization when searching for answers to specific questions and issues that may arise in day-to-day work. Members can discuss community development issues on MCDA's Bulletin Board.
The committee structure provides a variety of opportunities for community development practitioners. Whether taking an active role in influencing legislation with the Legislative/Advocacy Committee, or planning educational seminars with the Education/Training Committee, or reaching a broader audience of community development practitioners through work with the Membership/Communications Committee or the Web site Committee, MCDA gives every member the opportunity to get involved.
MCDA always welcomes enthusiastic and interested people to its wide network of professionals involved in furthering the influence of the community development arena.
